Open Water Diving Course Explained

Your Open Water Diving Course is split into 3 parts.
- Part 1 - Home Study
- Part 2 - Classroom and Swimming Pool Sessions
- Part 3 - Open Water Dives
Part one
You will be given our SSI Open Water Student Manual with either a video or DVD, (your choice) To study at home. This is an easy to follow manual
for which it is best to have and study for at least 2 weeks prior to commencing part 2 so you can digest the information . During this time, if you have any questions or problems we are just a phone call away.
Part two
In the classroom, we discuss each section of the manual in turn, answering any questions you may have. Once completed, you are then tested with a short
multiple choice written examination.
In the pool, you will be introduced to the Scuba Diving equipment and shown how to assemble and put it on. Then you will be taken step by step in the practice pool through all the scuba skills
needed to prepare you for the real thing. Nothing is rushed, in fact you progress at your pace, not ours.
Part three
With part one and to complete, you must now undertake 5 open water dives before you are issued with your SSI Open Water Diver Certification Card.
This can be done with Just Scuba or with any Certified Scuba Diving Organisation Worldwide, usually whilst on holiday in warmer climates. Fees for doing this can vary greatly, so it is best to check before proceeding. * You might find it more beneficial to complete the course with us before you go away, therefore having more time on holiday to enjoy more dives.
Once completed you will be a Certified Scuba Diver, free to enjoy the sport all around the world.
*Additional fees you might expect dependant on dive site used, accommodation charges. admission charge to dive centre, Instructor fees.
